When we started this company we always envisaged a small team of creative designers who believe in working directly with you to build your brand. We’ve stuck with our principles and remained small but focused. We put our clients first and like to build our client relationships around honesty, trust and a good cuppa.

When we started this company, we always envisaged a small team of creative designers who believe in working directly with you to build your brand. Whether that’s right from the beginning of your journey or the next phase of your brand, you’ll always speak directly to the creatives. We’ve stuck with our principles and remained small but focussed, and determined to get it right. We put our clients first and like to build client relationships around honesty, trust and a good cuppa. We immerse ourselves in what you do, to make sure we understand and appreciate your goals and get the most out of your budget for your projects.

CHRIS LUMLEY. MANAGING DIRECTOR

I’ve always loved art in all its forms, but my love of graphic design started in school with a one-off project to design (my first) logo. I liked the challenge of creating something that conveyed a bigger picture from a simple mark. 25 years later, I’m still looking for the hooks in every brand, still passionate about design and the challenge of building and strengthening a brand.

Before Copper Blue, I worked at NE6 Design and Drummond Central. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great clients, including bet365, Beaverbrooks, Bellway Homes, Nexus, RIBA, NBS and Northumbria University.

CHERYL LUMLEY. CREATIVE PARTNER

I see creative potential in everything, and this drives my passion for creativity and ability to define what makes a lasting impression. Working as a designer for over 20 years, I’m passionate about type, colour and photography. Having worked in agencies and as an in-house designer, I’ve had the advantage of seeing both sides of the design process.

As well as a ridiculous passion for interiors magazines and stationery items, I also write an award-winning blog on all things creative.
